So, a few weeks ago, I post this journal [link]
, and since then, I can't get the bloody idea out of my head! So, yes, I've started writing a fanfic. ^_^O It's been a long time since I've gone all-out like thins, because I've also drawn a picture (see above) and I'm even working on a remix of the two theme songs! @_@
I intend to post the fanfic here (currently titled The Kim and Danny Project
since I'm lame), and I intend this to be the picture that goes with each chapter. Sorta. I say sorta, because I've got a big problem with it--Danny.
Kim's great. I really like how she turned out. Danny on the other hand...
For starters, I intentionally drew him more in Kim's style than his own. I like it better, and I thought the picture would mesh better if I did. Also, he's supposed to be two years older here than in his own show. Hence the height and different-looking-ness. However, his position could not be more awkward. His head looks like someone screwed it on backwards for him. >_< So, I really like the concept and all, but I'm seriously considering redrawing Danny altogether and just erasing him here and sliding the new one in. In fact, I think that's exactly what I'm going to do, because I'm just not happy with him in this pic.
But, on another note:
With both of them, I took colors directly from screencaps of them to use as my pallet, so if you don't like the colors I chose, take it up with the creators. I attempted a very simplistic cell shading, since neither of them genereally have any shading at all, and I thought that looked to dull. Or flat, I guess. So, yeah, simple cell shading, and Kim got some cheek rose and lower-lip coloring, becuase I don't really like how they don't shade lower lips in KP. @_@
Kim Possible (c) Disney
Danny Phantom (c) Nickelodeon
Edit: Aaaaand.... fixed! I like Danny so much better now, you have no idea! Okay, actually, you probably do, since you're all artists here, too. Didn't take me too long to completely redo him, either. Hooray for mostly monochrome! ^___^ Anyhoo, if you want to see Danny without Kim blocking him, go here. I'm actually pretty proud of him, especially considering how quickly it was done.
