1. What does your deviantart name mean and why?

Lokotei is a character I created initially for an MMORPG, but was actually meant more for Slayers. He's a cat-turned-Mazoku, "created" by Xellos.Since he was going to be mentored by the Trickster Priest I gave him a name that was a mix of Coyote and Loki, both trickster gods. Thus, Lokotei. Why'd I use that name? He was a new character and I was really proud of it. And now, it's my SN on almost every site.

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?

Anime, in general. I was all over that. Slayers and Fushigi Yuugi were my favorites. And now? Now I'm into Disney (I always have been, but it's been a present driving force in my life), and the Aldahi.

I do both. It really rubs me the wrong way when people don't bother to read my description and just fave something without commenting. I appreciate the faves, I really do, but I'd much prefer it if people told me what they like/dislike about my art. It helps me improve. So I do the same thing for others. But I do a lot more commenting than faving these days.

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?

I occasionally participate in individual people's contests, but not clubs.

7. What is your most popular deviation?

Who Knows What We May Become, but I don't really count that, because I only slapped some color on the lovely art by . But my most popular all-me is Cup of Naked Iroh, which was featured in Nickelodeon magazine!

8. What are your favourite non-anime TV shows?

I am totally into Supernatural, and I am vicariously into True Blood (though I hope to make that one an actual love of mine soon). Also, I still love Avatar: the Last Airbender.

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?

Backgrounds and animals.

10. Summer or winter?

Summer. I can handle too hot way better than I can handle too cold. Though I am trying to force myself to tolerate cold better.

11. Rain or Sun?

Oh, it's all about rain, baby! I remember, when I was a little girl, it used to rain every August. Then I got Summer and rain at the same time! It doesn't rain much in the Summer anymore. I miss it.

12. What's your favourite type of music?

Hmmm... I don't have a favorite type. It all depends on what mood I'm in, but my taste ranges from punk to showtunes. I listen to bigband/swing, oldies, 80's, Disney, classical, rock, pop, alternative... it really all depends upon my mood.

13. PC or Mac?

PC. Having used both, I'm generally more fond of PCs.

14. Anime or Manga?

Uh... manga, I guess. I'm more into reading than watching TV. But I DO love animation, so it's really hard to say. Depends upon my mood, I suppose.

I don't do cola. It's all about the Dr. Pepper, baby.

More than I should. :sheepish grin: Like, while I'm at work. Like now.

18. Name a hidden talent.

If it's hidden, how am I supposed to know about it? O_o Haircutting, I guess. I cut ~Emiko-Cothran's hair, and she says it's the best haircuts she gets. Or maybe I sort of have an inate understanding of simple machines. I can open them up, fix minor problems, and put them back together, no training.

Traditional. WHO ELSE IS EXCITED ABOUT THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG?!?!?!

20. What is your favourite fast food restaurant?

I don't eat much fast food. Subway, I guess. Most healthy.

Crud! Uh... in no particular order, Bridge of Birds by Barry Hughart, Thud! by Terry Prachett aaaaaaand... uhhhhh... Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie.

Wii is a lot of fun, but no Kingdom Hearts games have been released on it, so...

Fall Out Boy, L'Arc~en~Ciel and... Hans Zimmer. I know he's not a band, but I'm in love with his music.

24. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?

Medium-fast. I'm not sure what my kpm, but whenever I type around people, they're like, "Wow! You're fast!" But then, my sister and husband are both way faster (and more accurate) than I am. How much does it suck that backspacing on a typing test counts as an error? Who doesn't backspace automatically when they know they've mistyped?

Lemon meringue. Though I'm also fond of cream cheese pie (which is NOT exactly the same as cheesecake. Which I also love).

28. Have you ever stayed up for 24 hours?

Why yes! More than once! The first time I did it, I was six, and I went to visit my cousin for the summer, and I was so excited I couldn't sleep. She was my best friend back then.

29. Do you go on YouTube a lot?

Not a lot, a lot, but I follow links there when people wanna show me stuff.

30. Are you a member on any other sites besides DA?

Yes. You can find me easy on lj, and I'm technically a memeber on youtube and facebook, though I, like, never say anything on Facebook. I only joined it to keep in touch with family.

31. Do you cosplay?

I used to cosplay all the time, but lack of funding and losing my interest in anime kind of stopped that. I still dress up every halloween, and last year I made a Ren Faire costume, and that was a lot of fun. It reminded me of how much I love to sew.

32. Fruits or sweets?

Fruits. I feel better after eating fruits and like a pig after eating sweets. I like feeling healthy.

33. Buttered, plain, or salted popcorn?

Plain. But when done right, buttered is sooooo yummy.

34. Have you skipped school?

Yes, I've skipped, but I've only ditched once. The difference being that "skipped" to me is taking a mental health day, which my mom allowed. Once or twice a year, if we really didn't feel like going to school and had no tests, we could ask mom if we could just stay home that day or go to work with her, and she'd usually say yes (mostly because we didn't abuse the privalage). Ditching is when your parents think you're at school but you're not going. When I ditched, it was only the last couple of classes of the day. I had a band show at a different school through lunch, so I had my fourth through sixth teacher sign a permission slip for me to not be there. We were back early fifth and, like, none of us went to the rest of fifth or sixth that day. We just hung around in the band room.

35. Have you been on a plane?

Yes! I love flying! Sort of. I used to like it more. But as an adult, I've found that going on planes makes me so lightheaded and listless I can't really concentrait on anything. I find myself staring out the window, sleeping or watching whatever tv thing they have on. A few years ago, though, I was totally bumped up to first class for no reason I could see, and it was really cool! Did you know they serve real food in first class? Like, on plates with silverware?

36. Have you swam in an ocean?

Oh yes! I live in California! Unfortuantely, we have a very cold current, so despite being California, our ocean is coooold (see previous question about Winter vs. Summer). It's one of the reasons I'm trying to force myself to tolerate cold better.

Yeah, but it's been yeeeears. Still, it's fun.

38. Favourite vacation spot?

I haven't gone away on vacation much. I'd like to go to a tropical island sometime - Hawaii, the Caribbean, something like that - but I'd also like to visit every Disney theme park in the world. Did you know they're building one in Sydney?

Actually, yes! Twice! Both because of band in high school. XD

Ranch. Mmmm.... ranch.

Hang out with Emi. We like going to these natural hotspirngs out in Ojai.

Eat with? Uh... I don't know. I'd like to have met Walt Disney. My dad did. My dad was at Disneyland opening day and shook his hand (so did my aunt, Grandma and Grandpa).

"When are you going to have kids?" and the like. Wayne and I have been married for three and a half years. I want kids, but we're not in a finnacial place where we're ready for them yet. I only just got the bank to stop yelling at me.

Don't know if I have an all-time favorite. But Disney's Sleeping Beauty and Little Mermaid make frequent background noise for me. I'm also hugely fond of Pirates of the Caribbean.

:thinks: I've always liked the name Razzleberry. But I love shades of green... probably some dark sea green color. I really like that shade.

To be totally honest... probably their lips. But I tend to focus on the mouths of just about everyone. I like watching them move.
